About the Book
Four Colorado mountain teens gathered together during the summer of 2024 to interview local change-makers involved in sustainable projects aimed at curbing climate change. These talented young writers also share their love of the outdoors through eloquent personal narratives. Our intention with this publication is to share the need to save the Earth. All proceeds go to local environmental non-profits and support future Writing to Save the World classes and events.

About the Creator
Jill Carstens
Salida, Colorado, USA
Since receiving a pink Five-Year Diary at age 10, Jill Carstens has navigated her life through the written word. A teacher for many years, she has enjoyed nurturing the creative and healing aspects of writing with her students. Since retiring from that vocation, she began a career in journalism, writing for several Colorado publications. She reflects on her parenting and teaching experiences in a regular column in the Denver North Star newspaper, Letters from Miss Jill. Writing to Save the World was a passion project that she hopes to do more of!
