About the Book
"VOICES" is a photo essay that showcases my vision as an immigrant regarding the numerous campaigns carried out by the Latino community in Washington, DC, in favor of immigration reform. An estimated 11 million undocumented people currently live in the shadows, fearing deportation. Through these rallies, during the eight years under President Barack Obama's administration, I focused on their voices of perseverance and resistance in rallies, flash mobs, and acts of civil disobedience, among others.
