About the Book
Most of the photographs in this book were made between the first day of early voting in Brooklyn in October of 2020 and Inauguration Day in 2021. The first and the final two were made on the day after a Manhattan jury found the former president guilty of falsifying business records in order to corrupt the 2016 election. They represent a time of great danger: a closely divided election that threatened to wreak havoc on the foundational structures of our democracy and a world still very much in the grips of the COVID-19 pandemic.
