About the Book
. . .
In honor of the centennial of a book―
TOWARD AN ARCHITECTURE
1923
By Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris
aka Le Corbusier
Architect Painter Writer
. . .
THE GENIUS OF LE CORBUSIER, the Swiss-French master, inspired me 50 years ago as a student at Princeton University to likewise become an architect, painter, and writer.
(And change my name―more than once!)
Through all my creative endeavors, including 11 books, I passionately explore the architecture of art and life.
"Architecture is a story told through a building," as I proclaimed in my book Visual Ef9ects. In Disturbance, a follow-up to my book Toward An Architecture AI | 2023, I showcase more visions of Daedalus 9—our dream house—inspired by the tragic but heroic story of the mythical ancient Greek architect, inventor of the Labyrinth and Wings.
I envision the final design emerging from an artistic fusion of Natural Intelligence and Artificial Intelligence, which I call ZIntelligence.
The result? A ZI House.
And I dream of someday supervising robots and androids as they build the story of Daedalus 9: The Labyrintheum—the world conjured from the quarry of myth.
Above all, I seek to transform the world through the magic of art, simultaneously aesthetic and symbolic, resonating with a paranormal blend of originality and archetypal power.
I aspire to evoke emotion, herald brave creativity, and reveal a universe we can't see if we take the Blue Pill.
Architecture is the Red Pill.
I hope this book inspires a metamorphic Disturbance ―like Le Corbusier's book Toward an Architecture, the epic prequel to my modest tribute.

About the Creator
"I SEE THE ROLE OF ART AS A FORCE THAT CHALLENGES AND PROVOKES THOUGHT." —JEF7REY HILDNER, DISTURBANCE Jef7rey Hildner is an award-winning architect, painter, and writer. Through all his creative endeavors, including 11 books, he passionately explores the architecture of art and life. You can discover his unique buildings, paintings, essays, screenplays, and books in many venues, from online platforms like IMDb, Coverfly, and Internet Archive to print platforms like Journal of Architectural Education and Global Architecture Houses. He sometimes paints as Henry Trucks and writes as Michelangelo A. Roland Slate, aka M.A.R.S. Like the first architects―oracles, astronomer-priests―Jef7rey quests to grok the Architecture of the Form & Story of Reality. And give artistic expression to his vision. He draws inspiration from the ancient Greek myth about the protagonist Joseph Campbell called "the hero of the way of thought"―the architect of the Labyrinth and Wings: Daedalus.
