Pound for pound, not a single place in New York City packs in as much action as Tompkins Square Park. Longtime photographer/writer Robin McMillan spent a year documenting every manner of entertainment, sport, and simple relaxation, while also digging into Tompkins' sometimes controversial history. The result is a vivid celebration of outdoor community life on New York's Lower East Side.
