This book includes documented images of the show MILF: Man I Love Film, which was on display at Jacoby Arts Center in Alton, IL, during the month of May 2024. This project was created by the local students Abigail Herrmann, Anna Fink, Asriel Stormer, Bailey Rideout, Haley Hammer, James Pepper, Jeannette Carrington, Judah Davenport, Lindsay Wamhoff, Sierra Wilson, and their instructor Sage Mend. The show included over 165 handcrafted prints, some of which are included in this book along with excerpts from each artist.

“MILF: Man I Love Film features the delicately handcrafted silver gelatin prints of local students and their instructor. This captivating exhibition of black and white darkroom photography prints explore the relevance of film photography in the local Alton and Godfrey regions. Inspiring a renewed appreciation for film as a creative medium, visual and conceptual themes relevant to the individual artists are materialized using light and darkroom chemistry in the form of printed images from film negatives. Some of the themes being explored include the subcultures of new age emo, the furry fandom, and human and animal struggles.”
