About the Book
On 18th January 2008, His Honour Judge Peter Simpson retired as a Circuit Judge after nearly twenty years on the Bench, fourteen of which were at the Mayor's and City of London Court in the City of London.
Peter Simpson had been a lawyer for 48 years and a judge for 20 years. This book records the valedictory speeches made that morning including a speech from Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury, the Master of the Rolls and head of the civil judiciary for England and Wales.
The photographs were made by District Judge Monty Trent who sits at the Mayor's and City of London Court.
