About the Book
Siciliani is my homage to Palermo, 7 years after I left the city. It took me 7 years to scan all my negatives and edit my digital photos to make this book. And let this be a closure to this open-ended project.

About the Creator
By practice, I am an economist and researcher, and at the same time self-taught photographer based in Europe. I was born in the capital of Iran, Tehran. During the Iran-Iraq war, I moved to Gorgan with my family. I spent most of my childhood and teenage time in Gorgan where I completed my bachelor’s program at a university. I discover my passion for storytelling and photography at the age of 28 soon after living in Italy. The early results of my pictures in the street got me to a talent festival in Bologna and performing a photo project in the fashion faculty of the University of Bologna. I found myself more comfortable in documentary and street photography. Listening to the different stories and reading about different human conditions is the most inspiration in my photography journey. I am mostly working on improving my photography craftsmanship by studying and following my self-assigned projects.
