About the Book
For the above reasons, the authors are publishing a series of books that focuses on incorporating the creative use of motion when capturing photographs.
This book focuses on the creative use of Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) to capture photographs of a wide variety of locations, scenes, and subjects in an artistic way to tell stories and produce compelling images. Each image includes a description of the ICM technique that was used to create the photograph as well as camera information and settings. If any adjustments were made in post-processing to enhance motion-related effects or to reinterpret the original image in a creative artistic way, a description will be included with the photo.
While the primary focus of this volume is to showcase images captured using Intentional Camera Movement (ICM) techniques, the authors also provide the reader with information on other motion techniques in the initial sections of the book. These early sections discuss the various techniques that can be applied to creatively use motion when capturing photographs, These provide a well-rounded knowledge about the various methods and how they compare with each other. By being aware of the various techniques that are available, the photographer can select the methods that are best suited to carry out their vision.
