About the Creator
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Stan grew up in the Birmingham, Alabama area. He graduated from Berry High School where he participated in tennis, football and golf. Delivering newspaper for the Birmingham News from the ages of 14 to 22, Stan received PARADE Magazines “Carrier of the Year Award” and spent 10 days in Spain. After high school he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham majoring in accounting. He worked in the landscape maintenance and construction business a few years before joining his current company Lakeshore Environmental Contractors, LLC as Managing Member. Working at Lakeshore has provided Stan with the opportunity to view many of Birmingham and the surrounding areas old and new buildings fueling an interest in architectural photography. The abundance of old turn of the century buildings and modern architectural forms in the area have become a favorite subject of his photography.
