About the Book
This is a compilation of the 2009 Newsletters of El Puente. It gives an overview of how El Puente has helped the Bribri of the Talamanca Region of Costa Rica in 2009.
El Puente has operated for over eight years. In that time, they helped over 50 students per year to attend school. They provided many microloans, provided weekly food for a number of families on a work-for-food program and operated a Community Kitchen which has fed up to 150 healthy meals to people from numerous families three days a week. While they serve mainly indigenous people, the programs are open to all segments of the population.
THE AUTHOR WILL DONATE US$5.00 TO "EL PUENTE - THE BRIDGE" IN COSTA RICA FOR EVERY BOOK SOLD.
