About the Book
This is a book of photographs that I took as a member of the Colorado House of Representatives from 1973 to 1978. As the photographs will show, those were very different times. We worked hard and we dealt with tough issues but there was a sense of bipartisanship that seems to be missing today. For example, note how many of the photographs show people smiling or with their arms around each other.
For me, this was the experience of a lifetime. Completing this book is my way of saying thanks to my colleagues for their friendship, hard work and commitment to the state of Colorado.

I am a retired lawyer and government official from Colorado, now living in Santa Fe, New Mexico and working as a free lance writer and photographer. My wife and I formerly lived in Spain and still travel there extensively to work on photography projects. We also work with several educational projects in Nicaragua and travel there frequently. My major mission, however, is documenting and assisting a variety of humanitarian projects on the Mexican border.
