About the Book
This travel guide tours places of historical interest in the North and South Gyeongsang provinces of South Korea including Bulguksa Temple, Seokguram Grotto, Beomeosa Temple, the Royal Tombs, including the Heavenly Horse Tomb or Cheonmachong, and Anapji Pond.
Many of these historical sites are listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
A few of the Korean National Treasures in the Gyeongju National Museum, including the bronze Divine Bell of King Seongdeok and a gold crown and other objects from Cheonmachong, are shown.
A replica of an 8th century Silla village in the Shilla Millennium Park shows the different types of houses and furnishings defined by Silla’s unique bone-ranking system.
