Students from California State University San Marcos had the chance to learn from a Mixtec traditional medical practitioner and herbalist. Students were given the opportunity to learn how California native plants can be used as sources of food and medicine.

New world perspectives and concepts of Mother Earth were gained by those with open minds and open hearts.
