About the Book
This is the true story of my grandfather, as written by him, of some of the more memorable events of his life. Beginning with the history of his parents (Italian immigrants moving New York) he documents how life was like in the early 1930's for his family and how the times have changed over his lifetime. He brings us through the war and how Americans would respect military personnel, how he met his wife, the birth of his children and the increase of the cost of living. He was 85 when he originally hand-wrote this book back in 2004 and I transcribed and published it here three years later.
