About the Book
The 350 pictures, all taken by the author during the past year, are split into separate chapters on National Express East Anglia, DB Schenker, First GBRf, Cotswold Rail, Freightliner, DRS and Special Movements.
All the major news events of the year are covered; from the introduction into traffic of Freightliner's General Electric Class 70s and South East Trains' Javelins to the first appearance in the region of new A1 Pacific Tornado and 90 026.
Many new locations on the Great Easterm mainline are explored and should provide inspiration and guidance to those wishing to get away from the well trampled spots of Brantham, Cattawade and Kelvedon!

About the Creator
A photographer for 41 years, working may way up from Canon cameras to Mamiya 645 and ultimately Pentax 6x7 medium format I have now gone full circle and I am back to using Canon again. I currently utilise Canon digital SLR's with L series lenses. Until recently the secretary of the Phoenix Railway Photographic Circle which I have been a proud member of for over 20 years now, attempting to push the envelope of progressive railway photography. Now living in Colchester, Essex after 26 years in Northampton I have swapped the gentle rolling hills of Northamptonshire for Constable country. Travelling the world and my own country extensively, I love the dramatic scenery of the American West, the Swiss Alps, the Tuscan hills, the Scottish Highands and the west coast of Ireland. Springtime in the Tehachapi Mountains of California and winter in the Mojave desert are my nirvana though.
