About the Book
Rich Tea Conversations documents a 2007 live art event based on audience participation. Performance artist Simon Piasecki invited individuals to take tea. They were asked to speak with their mouths full as he interviewed them about family ancestry.
Piasecki employs metaphor to explore the social, political and cultural constructs that pervade language and muffle understanding between individuals, communities and nations.
The photographs were taken by Linda Ludwin during performace, using a handheld Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H9 in available light.
