About the Book
It gets crowded with over 200,000 shoppers each day on Saturday and Sunday who are looking for bargains and innovation. There are always a few new things that hit the Chatuchak Weekend Market months before you see them elsewhere. The innovative item on this trip was the toothbrush holder.
There are places to relax, to get a foot and shoulder massage, and plenty of stalls to get something to eat.
On this trip during the month of August in 2010, I was interested in what they were selling, and in how the sellers would make use their spaces. Often there was a sofa and a small table, for taking naps and eating is common as they wait for their customers to awaken them. They live in their stalls at the Weekend Market during the weekend.
It's a whole world onto itself, its the Chatuchak Weekend Market, only in Bangkok, Thailand.
