About the Book
Jessie's Way is a series of short stories about Jessie, a little girl of the late forties, early fifties, growing up in Georgia during a turbulant and confusing time in our nation's history. The stories show us Jessie's struggles and questions, her understanding, compassion, and acceptance of things as they were and as they should be, as well as her vulnerability in an age of brutal rule and division.
