About the Creator
Tara Pavis lives in San Francisco with her husband, two cats, a garage that is subject to flooding in heavy rain, and a small (often neglected) organic vegetable garden. She does not like to nap, but enjoys good food, Bitch Magazine and the idea of goats. Tara has always been interested in nature photography, but it was the acquisition of her first digital camera in early 2003 that renewed her energy, productivity and devotion to the craft. The 2008 creation of her first book, Five Years in Four Months, is a celebration of the natural world, and marks her fifth year as a digital photographer.
