About the Book
The English countryside is at its best with limestone villages and majestic castles that rest in emerald pastures. I spent my days amid golden-hued cottages, ornate royal palaces, and stunning English gardens, old harbors and boats. I met local personalities and craftspeople. While roaming the countryside there seems to be a breathtaking picture at every turn with attractive old cottages and farmhouses of exceptional unspoiled beauty. Sheep grazing on the hillsides is a common scene, as well as the unusual "Oreo Cows" that are dark brown with a large white band around their midsection. Visiting the countryside is like stepping back into history but it is really more than that, it is solid, familiar, warm, and inviting. It seems so very natural, that it is like coming home. I hope you will feel this when viewing my pictures.
