About the Book
As a therapist one of the first things I assess when interviewing clients is the support they have outside of therapy. This is an important piece in the therapeutic process because a person with any mental or emotional issues needs some sort of system to hold them up and encourage their success in therapy.
I often ask if these friends and family members would be willing to join in sessions with me to bolster the progress the client is making.
Supportive friends increase wellness and the overall outlook for healthy recovery from the issues raised in therapy.
It is my hope that the scriptural references and commentary will heighten your awareness of the friends you have and increase your appreciation for those that are close to you.
Take time to think about and answer the questions each day. Follow through with the suggestions.
The book was written for individaul work and can be used in a small group setting.
