About the Book
THE LAUGHING CLASS is a collection of stories from the first three years of my teaching career.
After ten years of working with creative teams for advertising agencies, a series of open doors led me to teach middle school Art at my alma mater.
My mother taught kindergarten for 38 years, and growing up I remember hearing story after story of the funny things she encountered at work.
When I started working with young people, I was amazed by how much humor there was in each day. Indeed, almost every day something was said or done that made me laugh.
Inspired by Mom, I started journaling the moments as they happened, and this book is the result. It contains a few stories from my own time as a student that many teachers still laugh about today.
My hope is that you enjoy this book and it makes you remember your own humorous stories from your school years.
