About the Book
Now ostensibly Christian, Lithuania's religious heritage rests on a beautiful ancient mythology. This small treasure is an adaptation of a pagan Lithuanian prayer, translated into English.
The prayer is beautifully illustrated with Lithuanian scenes by photographer Mary Lee Dereske. Of Lithuanian descent, Mary Lee visited Lithuania in the summer of 2009, a mere 20 years after LIthuania fought to reclaim its independence from the USSR. Her images help the reader to touch the heart of Lithuania.

Welcome! My books intertwine a love of photography with contemplation, wisdom, and the beauty of life. I'm a native daughter of Michigan, now living in New Mexico. The two places are like apples and oranges. I love them both.
