Coventry has a long and proud tradition

of carnival, from the Corpus Christi

processions of the 1320’s, to the

medieval cycle of mystery plays and civic

processions of the 1670’s, forming part

of the mayor’s procession inaugurating

the annual Great Show fair, to the Godiva

Carnival today, which links the heart of

the city with the annual Godiva Festival in

the city’s War Memorial Park.



This book is a photographic documentary of the Godiva Carnival 2010 produced by Imagineer productions, from the making by artists and community mas camps to the final carnival performance.
