The following publication is the documentation of Professor Mario F. Ortega’s Architecture Study Abroad Studio.

The Europe 2010 Architecture Study Abroad Program was offered as a travel format studio including lectures, seminars, and visits to buildings and public spaces in Italy, Greece, Turkey and Egypt from May 17th to June 2nd 2010. The program began prior to departure with meetings and discussions on the logistics of traveling in a foreign country including several in-classroom lectures, research and assignments in preparation for the requirements of the courses abroad. Required work included; assigned readings, a course journal, a final presentation and a digital research documentation project based on the above mentioned countries. Class discussions on urban as well as building investigations were also accomplished on site, focusing on the cities, their architecture and history.
