About the Book
This is the story of a people who came into a pristine environment only some 15 centuries ago. With the island’s very limited resources this society achieved astonishing feats, but put enormous demands on their environment. When the environment could no longer put up with these demands, the society that had been built up over the previous thousand years fell with it.
Two "Ancestor-Spirits" glide along the centuries, witnessing the harrowing tale, up to the peaceful present.
