About the Book
This is a photographic journal of the 2007 Big Bend Biology Field Trip taken by the Chisholm Trail Academy sophomore class. Join them as they hike Lost Mine Trail in the Chisos Mountains, roll down a sand dune in Boquillas Canyon, camp at Entrance Camp, raft the Rio Grande through the Chihuahuan Desert and through Santa Elena Canyon and the notorious Rock Slide rapids, visit Lajitas Resort, take a guided tour of the Barton Warnock Environmental Educational Center and gardens with the Ranger, and hike and rappel through Closed Canyon. This makes a great keepsake book for those who were on this trip or a great photo book for those who would like to take an armchair sightseeing tour of the Big Bend Area of Texas.

I love taking photographs because in a moment, I get to freeze something forever........something I can savor again later on and maybe someone else will get to enjoy it too. And since these "senior moments" seem to be happening more often, I need all the help I can get to remember something. Also photography gives me a good excuse to be adventuresome, travel, take a road trip, see new places, be outdoors and go hiking and camping.........or maybe it's the other way around. Either way, it's my kind of fun.
