About the Book
(Artist Book, 80 pages, 10x 8 inch/25x20 cm) COLD WAR IN A TRASH BAG is based on anonymous b/w negatives that I discovered recently in the western part of Ukraine. Those negatives, about 10 000, have been decaying in the attic of a former communist newspaper building for 20 years, ready for final disposal. Fortunately I was able to save them, taking them through a meticulous scanning process. The results show solarisation processes and other signs of deterioration leading partly to new visuals - more PoDs on the subject to follow. March 2011 -
