Up and down Britain's credit-crunched high-streets are the shop window displays left by former shop owners, the victims of the UK's economic recession.



Left on the glass panes with swirls of watered-paint, are the messages and drawings that often describe the former businesses, were once the pride of their owners.



But within their textures and surfaces there is sadness as well as humour hiding behind the hardships.
