About the Book
The Diametrical Negative is a collection of selected photographs from three different series of my work. For this book, the majority of these photographs were re-created by scanning a negative and then reworking the image digitally. Some works were scanned from the original print or taken digitally, but these were also reworked. The title of this book is meant to symbolize the non traditional way in which these (mostly) traditional looking images were created and altered. It is an antithetical study on human perception. Can you figure out which images are digital? Film? Friends? Strangers? The story of the artwork is begun by the artist and finished by the audience. These images get progressively stranger with each chapter. See what stories you can come up with.
