About the Book
I love many things.
I love the idea of freedom. The concept is very dear to my heart. I admire trust, reliable friends and being there for them when they need you. The motorcycle personifies this for me.
I thank the Independent Motorcycle Corporation for allowing me the opportunity to observe motorcycle culture, but most importantly I thank them for the opportunity to witness a real band of brothers, enjoying their idea of freedom, the freedom of the open road and the freedom of living life to the fullest.
I spent a short amount of time with them, but being there brought back memories of sitting and reading about bike mechanics, figuring out basic principles of maintenance and preparing for a ride the next morning. I remember the wiping the morning mist off of my visor, and thinking that this is the greatest moment ever.
This book began as a photo essay to showcase motorcycles, It has mutated into a look at culture. I found the people that ride them, and the culture created as a result. This is what I saw.
