This photo album is a collection of photos from various fieldtrips to Asia between 2008 and 2011.

These images are not perfect; but they are spontaneous. They are taken in these little moments between the official fieldwork and traveling.

For me they are snapshots: not polished or "photoshopped" but truly authentic. In my opinion, their beauty lies in the moment not in their perfection. They portrait the little discoveries and insights I could gain by traveling and conducting research in Asia.

The photos are ordered from public spaces to private spaces,

Starting with:

- urban landscape,

- nature & landscapes,

- traditional and modern architecture

- art



Then becoming more detailed on:

- people's activities,

- interfaces,

- food & restaurants,

- homes & interiors and

- products.



I hope this collection gives an idea of contemporary Asian lifestyle away from stereotypes and touristic icons.
