About the Book
Colleen Calhoun, artist and poet lives in Copenhagen, Denmark. She is a member of the international art group Fusion International and has had separate and group exhibits in Denmark, Poland and the US since the mid 1980s.
She is interested in exploring natural spaces from different angles. She uses body and landscape as her primary means to test how these angles can alter the viewer’s perception of their own reality.
She uses primarily remembered landscapes and bodies as a way of uniting color and line. And she works with abstract spaces within the seemingly figurative.
Her displacement from the landscape of “home” fills her work with a sense of longing which adds to the aesthetic experience of the painting or graphic.
