About the Book
On April 20, 2010 an explosion on the Deepwater Horizon Oil Rig killed 11 crewmen. The aftermath of this tragedy rippled through The Gulf Region. In a factual, non-accusatory tone, "Spill It!" examines statements initially made by corporate and government agencies (what they said) and compares them with facts which emerged in the days and months following the disaster (what we know). Illustrated with stunning photographic images "Spill It!" is an easy read that's hard to swallow.

Cherri Foytlin & Jen Reed
Louisiana
Cherri Foytlin and Jen Reed met in an unlikely way. Cherri, an activist and journalist, was interviewing Jen, an artist and musician, for a local newspaper. At one point Jen explained how she likes to take as many detours in life as possible and, at the end of the interview Cherri asked, "Do you want to write a book with me?". The rest, as they say, is history.
