About the Book
Steven Gray is a man confronted with pain and terrifying visions. His search for the source of his torment leads him across the ocean where he finds he shares a psychic connection with a blind deaf-mute. He also finds someone else: Dr. Helen Lawrence. She convinced Steven to travel from the United States to the picturesque town of York, England on the pretense of helping him with his illness. But Dr. Lawrence needs him for something else; to help solve a mystery that has haunted her for two years and to find someone that was lost to her: a blind and deaf-mute patient named Darien Church. In this young man is hidden the key to the disturbing turn in both their lives.
The investigation leads them to the Downshollow Abbey, located at The center of the North York Moors. It is here they discover The Church of The Light, a small, but thriving religious faction. But this is more than just a destructive cult. There is something ancient, powerful, and alien buried beneath as Steven Gray discovers when he is forced to confront the leader of the church, a man they call The Father, a man formerly known as Joseph Sebastian, once the idealistic pastor of the secluded town of Downshollow.

Since 1989, I have enjoyed creating assemblage sculptures. Working with the visual imagery and conceptual elements of my artwork and developing them into a cohesive story has been challenging, rewarding and has directed me onto a creative path that has taken me by surprise. I hope you will enjoy this diversion into the dark waters of my subconscious.
