About the Book
Johnny Jack's War is a community play written by Branscombe playwright Pete Wilson and directed by Crosby Chacksfield, charting the opening months of the First World War and its impact on a rural community. The play was performed in Sidbury Village Hall in November 2011. The book records the rehearsals leading up to the production.
