About the Book
Snowhill Island, home to a colony of Emperor Penguins, during the breeding season, and in reach of the only ice breaker plying the Weddell Sea. All images taken on the infamous trip when the Kapitain Klebnikov became stuck ala Shackleton's ship "The Endurance", for a week in 2009. The cover image won the WANDERLUST magazine's Travel Photographer of the Year, Wildlife category in 2011.
