Kate Jensen was born in Ilford, Essex and spent her childhood between the streets of East End London and the fields and fells of rural Cumbria. She developed an early love of photography after receiving a Prinz Sharp-Shooter 110mm camera for her 7th birthday. Persuaded not to pursue a career in photography she now teaches full-time in a primary school in Dagenham but is never far from a camera, even if it is sometimes an iPhone. She currently lives close to her old stomping ground with her daughter, two cats and a small fluffy dog.
