About the Book
In June 2008, my husband, Allan and I joined a guided backpacking trip in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge with ABEC's Dave Hamilton. The trip "Caribou Migration" proved worthy of its description as we witnessed a multitude of these beautiful animals making their way across Alaska's Brooks Range. Our trip began in a small commuter flight from Fairbanks to Arctic Village then a spectacular tour in a four-seater plane to the Kongakut River. For eight days we experienced this remote, pristine wilderness just as the spring thaw uncovered the lush tundra. I'll let my photos tell the rest of the story.
