About the Book
Struck by the environmental disaster located in Palmerton, Pennsylvania, I embarked on a photographic journey to acquaint myself with the land and the town affected. A Nationally Listed Superfund Site since 1983, it is known to regional Appalachian Trail hikers as "the moonwalk". Further research became the driving force for my need to fully document the area. All photographs were taken from January–March 2012. This book showcases my journey from nature to town and back to nature and is a portion of a project that has the potential for years of documentation and endless discovery.
