About the Book
About the Authors:Britt and Lorraine Cummins share a love for nature, wildlife, and the natural landscapes of the great outdoors. Their interest in photography developed initially during high school and college. While they enjoy the challenges and rewards of all types of photography, nature and landscape photography are their passion. The stunning beauty of the Southwest throughout Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico is so compelling that we find ourselves returning to this area of the country over and over again.
About the book: This is one of a series of books on the great Southwest that we are actively working on over a period of several years. While previous books in this series have focused on canyons and arches, this book focuses on the beautiful red and orange adobe architecture of churches, missions, and other buildings in desert and mountain landscapes of New Mexico. Sand dunes, petroglyphs, and art are also featured. This book serves as a travel guide to great photographic opportunities featuring spectacular scenery and great cultural, historical, and artistic locations. Detailed information and tips on photo techniques, camera settings, and framing/composition are provided throughout the book. The book is intended to be useful to multiple audiences - tourists wanting to make the most of the time available to them when visiting this area, photographers and artists wanting to identify the best locations to create great images, and those wanting to continuously improve their photography.
