About the Book
This is an amended edition of my first book the ‘Good Old Days’ a full colour pictorial history of aircraft movements at RAF Northolt 1964-1972. The book has been improved by adding more photographs of resident and visiting aircraft, many of which have not previously been published. All the pictures, over 520 in all have been enlarged and digitally enhanced in full colour. YES, the book is rather expensive, BUT for those of you that want quality colour pictures from the 'Good Old Days' this is the product for you. The book size is 12" x 12" square, and most of the photographs within are sized 9" x 6". PLEASE take a look at the 'Book Preview' where you can view the first fifteen pages, but be sure to view at full screen for perfect viewing.
I have managed to publish photographs of virtually all military aircraft and Air Arms that graced the ramps at RAF Northolt during the period. The vast majority of pictures were taken at Northolt, with a few exceptions, for which the venues are noted in the captions. I have also included a few photographs of aircraft that visited prior to, and after the period 1964-1972 to illustrate the diversity of types flown by the various Air Arms in and out of Northolt.
While the book is rather expensive, there is an ebook available for viewing on Apple iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch only at a very reasonable price. Blurb is hoping to offer other eReader options in the future.
