About the Creator
Karl Smith is a California registered architect, planner, and researcher. He is the Principal of Karl Smith Studio, a design practice dedicated to the design of innovative, forward-looking houses, communities and transportation. He is also a journalist, writing about architecture and transportation design issues for journals in the United States, Europe and Japan. He is the U.S. correspondent for the authoritative Car Design News, the leading voice of design in the automotive world. Karl is also an author and publisher. He wrote and published the book," Haiku Cottage", which anticipated the tiny house movement by a decade. He approached the challenge of the future city car in the book Civitas, published in 2012. The books here on Blurb represent Karl's latest research on the world of living, working, and transportation in the future.
