About the Book
A book for the traveler or artist. Nyla Witmore takes the best stories and sketches from 5 sketchbook journals created on painting trips to France. This is a laugh-out-loud book that reads a bit like Mayle's book, "A Year in Provence," but is actually "two weeks in Burgundy." Replete with wit, humor, adventure (sometimes scary), Witmore gives insight into the process of painting on location and provides ink/watercolor sketches that are charming, fresh, and colorful. The book culminates in finished oil paintings based on sketches.
