About the Book
On June 11,2007 my husband Rob died. He was 74 years old and we had been married for 24 years.
People respond to grief in many different ways. Some go back to work immediately. Some cook or clean. Some sit and stare at the ceiling. I write. I write journals, letters, emails, lists, poetry - anything to move my grief from the inside to the outside.
The poems in this book are a part of my response to the overwhelming loss I have been experiencing. They are in the order that they were written, because it seems important to document the passage of time in this first year of mourning for the love of my life.
