The Grandstand Story describes one of the most significant projects ever undertaken by Hockey Northland. Saving and preserving Whangarie's only Class 1 Historic building, the Kensington Park Round Roofed Grandstand has cemented Hockey Northland's place in the history of the Whangarei City and district forever.

This story is a tribute to the large number of volunteers who have devoted their time and passion to the Grandstand Project and the Artificial Turf Projects for the Association over many years.
