About the Book
Five New England artists are brought together to exhibit work at Reynolds Ryan Gallery, New Orleans, LA.
Kimberlee Alemian, Jen Bradley, Mary Behrens, Jan Lhormer, Dorothy Simpson Krause, are working with the subject matter of interior spaces, Gorilla’s and Toile, Manipulated digital and hand painted photographs, abstracted gardens, and prints/artists book inspired by Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s poem “Kubla Kahn”.
Collectively, the work evolves from observed imagery and moves into a diverse range of style and media including oil painting, drawings, stencil, printmaking, bookmaking and digital media. Fragmentation and memory are a common thread throughout these artists works.
