About the Book
The adventures of a young naval officer on a ship homeported in Naples, Italy from 1972 to 1974. As commanding officer of a patrol gunboat support ship and the commander of a division of four missile-equipped patrol gunboats, he directed the operations of his ships throughout the Mediterrean Sea. He, his wife, and two children lived in Naples, Italy before the days of expanded government support there.
