Toa Castellanos was born in Santiago de Cuba and arrived in the United States in 1961. She studied Art in Michigan and at NotreDame University in Indiana. In 1974 she moved to Cali, Colombia where she began her work as an artist and a printer. She has worked with Pedro Alcantara and Fabio Daza in Colombia and is now working in Yovani Bauta’s studio. She has exhibited in Colombia, Cuba and the United States, especially in Miami, where she relocated in 2000 and where she now lives and works.
